If you have limited time or want an introduction to yacht life, without committing to a full week, then our two-night getaway could be the ideal trip for you. Chica Mala is perfect for smaller groups too. Extremely safe and seaworthy with wide side decks leading to the bow, you will feel like royalty as your crew receive you at the dock with a glass of cold champagne, freshly made margarita or local beer.
You will head out past the famous Land’s End, Neptune’s Finger, Arch and sea lion colony before embarking on your cruise up the Sea of Cortez - you will get to see the coastline and pull some fishing line along the way, perhaps landing something that the chef can prepare fresh for you. Upon reaching Los Frailes you will anchor and have an opportunity to swim, paddle board, snorkel, or kayak while the chef prepares a delicious meal for you. The aft deck is a great place to enjoy and with the underwater lights turned on, a myriad of fish will be attracted for you to wonder at; or head to the bow, where you can chill and listen to your favorite playlist while you relax and are amazed by the number of stars you can see away from the city lights.
The evening will be spent at anchor in Los Frailes Bay which is just half a mile from the world famous Cabo Pulmo, a national park and protected area with a spectacular coral reef - it has been described as a “mini Great Barrier Reef” similar to Australia . The Captain will have pre-arranged for guides to come to the yacht to collect you for an adventure, whether it be snorkeling, diving, or a small boat ride (extra cost). Being a national park only registered and certified guide and small boats are allowed into the area to protect the fragile eco-system. After enjoying the spectacular Cabo Pulmo, you will return to the yacht for a freshly prepared lunch, before getting underway towards Cabo San Lucas. On the return cruise, you will probably see whales, dolphins perhaps catch some fish and then visit Chileno Bay or Santa Maria.
Chileno Bay is a popular cruising spot and home to the well-known El Comal restaurant and taco bar – open to the public. Santa Maria Bay close by is home to the Montage Hotel – you can kayak or paddle board in to visit the beach restaurant and bar should you wish or keep your privacy on board. After lunch, the yacht will head towards to Cabo and to the Pacific Ocean to see the sunset and then to El Medano, the iconic Baja Beach spot where you will spend the night. You will awake to fresh coffee and may choose to take a dip, sunrise paddle board or kayak excursion around the area before returning for a freshly cooked breakfast and then heading back to the marina for your reluctant departure.
